My relative wants to make long involved statements and gets angry when I ask a question or make a comment. I have to wait for dead silence before I can say something and many times ask if I can make a comment. When she makes a point and seems to take a breath I will take my turn and am surprised and disappointed when she gets angry, says I interrupted and says let me finish. Sometimes I just hold the phone. A few times I put the phone down for a bathroom break and was not surprised that she was still talking when I returned! This has been going on for years and is affecting our relationship. We can barely have even a short conversation without her complaining that I cut her off. Very frustrated.
How do you help a child who is limited verbal/ receptive? He can do one step direction like shoes away . How can i increase his receptive skills? Thanks much
How can i contact you? Im new Autism mom of 6 year old and in need of some guidance.
This is amazing. Thank you so much
Thank you
I have this social anxiety thing and I hate it...i dropped out of school jst to be by myself and avoid crowd...i was extremely quiet and have no friends
I only have one friend at the age of 17, and will probably never experience love and i don't know what to do
I'm 20 and I've never been in a relationship because most girls I've ever talked to have rejected me so its made me scared of what people think of me.
My advice. Keep trying. If you stop, you'll get use to being alone and never gather the courage to ask.
gonna try this at school tomorrow, im tired of struggling with this bs
thank you, still helping people 9 years later👍
Thanks!
I blush too much and have very bad anxiety, is there any help, please.
I am anxious to remove my mask in public please help me. Because of covid my confidence are gone fuck this covid!
I know a lot of my social anxiety is due to my traumatic childhood and verbal abuse that I endured for years when I was a younger adult. I use to get ridiculed and put down a lot by one person and it’s been 10 years and I still can’t let go of the words still ringing in my head. It hurts so bad but i pray hard and I feel like one day I will overcome this and be my best self.
You will! We both will overcome. Praying for you my dear
I was bullied most of my schooling life even girls laughed and called me names and once I left school I had no social skills I'm an introvert and shy and I've been trying to meet girls as I desire to someday be married but I'm so shy and always think what are they going to think or say about me.
As someone who goes through social anxiety, I would always worry about how my voice sounds sometimes so I just record myself talking. It’s kind of weird but it helps the stress and makes me feel less insecure.
Thnks for the tip
How about to calm down a toddler or Preschooler? What tools items should I use to calm them down immediately
Seriously thank you. My daughter is 4, autistic lower functioning and we always stress for our 4th of July trip every year. We try to set up a hole room for her to have whatever she needs and wants while still being active outside. Thank you for the video, really appreciated ❤️
These are great ideas for K-12, but in college none of this is possible. I'm an adult on the spectrum, and college is very difficult for me because I have to work 10 times as hard as my peers. I barely survived 2 semester of English composition because it was all essay writing and summarizing works of literature. Even taking one class at a time and getting extra time on tests, I felt like I was drowning. Cumulative tests are also very difficult for me because I have a limited space of working memory. It's easier for me to have a test per chapter and only have to store small amounts of information than having to recall information on 5 chapters at a time. Testing and writing assignments are the worst for me. I also have problems understanding directions. What is clear for the instructor and clear for the rest of the class is not clear for me. Even with disability accommodations your accommodations in college is very limited. You're forced to keep up or get trampled.
Hello guys I pray to Jesus thank you for liking my video this was my first creation❤️
Thank you for doing this video. I will have to try some of your suggestions with my son who has Asperger syndrome and is now 18. I have worked with him his entire life on things but as he got older it was harder to get him to do some of these personal hygiene items. I will definitely try some to see if they help. Thanks again.
This is a good book. This is also, probably why I've always loved cats more than anything.
How could we do this with a 3 year old...My concern is that she doesnt seem to undestand what I'm saying so how can I utilize what you've said but on a level she'll understand....
thank you for sharing some very useful thoughts and information.
I love this can u do one on context
Thank you
Wow
Just ordered this book
The upload is appreciated
This is great. Thankyou
Like there was times where I took offense by the way she treated me but then I realised that Autistic people can in fact come off as rude without the intention of being rude. She could have meant it intentionally but I doubt it.
I hate this horrible disease. This was probably why I lost my friend because she has Autism severely and since she has it severely. Autism more than likely played a role in making the friendship toxic and eventually destroying it.
Im an adult and now understand people joke around, but it still can hurt me... how do you deal with your hurt feelings if you know in your brain that the other person didn’t intend harm 😔?
I have been struggling hygiene routine for ages and I think this is the time I search for medical help .
I read this in high-school and I cried because I have aspergers and it hit every mark
As an adult who has ADHD and used to have meltdowns as a kid, whenever my mom did what you are suggesting, (say my name in a calm voice and told me, "you need to calm down"), it would make me EVEN ANGRIER... Not because she wasn't giving me what I wanted... She was "telling me what to do", without an explanation as to "why". The poor child doesn't understand WHY, and THEY don't need to calm down, YOU need to CALM THEM DOWN! I don't care if it's hard for you, learn how to do it because the kid can't figure it out on their own!!! We just assume they are too young and stupid to understand anything so we just tell them to shut up. Maybe adults who don't actually have the disorder should talk to more adults that DO, and ask them what they need in that situation.

Thanks to everyone taking their time to read this testimony on how my son was saved from Autism. He was diagnosed four years ago, and he's just 6, I have tried several treatments and medications, nothing was working out, this got me frustrated and depressed. I kept praying and finally God answered my prayers when someone from youtube introduced me to this doctor from his home country and gave me his contact details. I called and explained my son's condition after which I made an order for his herbal remedy, he asked for my address and the next day I got a tracking number for a parcel sent to me through DHL and after four days I received my order. It was a liquid herbal medicine and a letter containing the instructions on how to use the herbs, I called him again to confirm and the next morning I started giving my son the herbs as instructed and after one week I noticed great improvement on my son and I continued until the herbs got finished and everything lasted for just one month and now my son is totally free from Autism, he can now talk clearly, behave normally and has no more seizures. 12 minutes of narcissist gaslighting, making the abusive behavior right and blaming the autistic person...
My son is 8 and has a hard time staying asleep in his bed all night. He wakes up around 3 in the morning and gets in the bed with me. Or if he gets in my bed later around 5:30 in the morning, around the time his dad leaves for work and when I’m already up, he calls my name and wants me to lay down with him and has a hard time going back to sleep if I’m not laying down with him. Any advice would be great. I also lay down with him in his bed to read a book before bed and fall asleep with him but I have made him go to bed by himself before, I think he’s just scared to be alone in the dark.
